A pretty smile she wore on her face
A cynosure of joy and desire
She thought she had her emotions in check
How wrong she was;
How tricky the heart could be
It gives one a false blend of feeling sometimes.
She didn’t realize she had fallen for him
Yet her head suggested otherwise;
Emotions so true and raw, yet denied
No! “this is not happening to me”
Like a drowning man she grasps at every available straw,
Such was her case;
She is deep in thoughts…she is day dreaming
Visions of his lips closing in on hers
Her lips parts once more breaking into a smile
“Could I be in love?” She asks herself;
If only she understood the game of love
Perhaps, there would be no need fighting it
Yet again, she fought it
But this time she fell head over heels.
